The house is 2500 square feet on the first floor. The rooms include and atrium living room, theatre or game room. 3 large bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, office/entry area and chapel.

The double lot (1200 square meters) is surrounded by a wall and entered through a large covered wrought iron gate, The parking area is gravel with covered parking for two vehicles. The house is entered from the front porch, either by three steps in the middle or a gentle slope at the end if steps are difficult. Coming through the front door, the chapel door is on the right. The chapel is a small 8×15 foot room with cornice moldings at the ceiling and a framed arch in the front. To the left is the dining area and beyond that the kitchen. The kitchen has custom mahogany cabinets and a laminate counter. The new work center has a second sink and a granite counter. There is also a wrought iron door to the rear balcony which runs the full length of the house. There is a built in art iron table for coffee with a ceiling fan above. The balcony has steps to the backyard too.

The atrium living room is in the center of the house, 15 feet square with a natural stone floor, a 20 cathedral ceiling, a large chandelier and ample diffused natural light. It has a built in bookcase and open arches to the hall and dining area. There are indoor stairs to the half-basement from the hall.
The theatre room is entered from the atrium, it was designed for a projection system with white ‘screen’ area ready to go. It has plumbing for a wet bar. The room is large, 15×30 feet with a high insulated ceiling.

The middle bedroom and other corner bedroom both also have cathedral ceilings. The corner bedroom has a built in granite topped double desk. The middle room has a second door providing access to the pool. These rooms open to a short hall from the atrium where the second bathroom is located. This bathroom has chocolate brown wall tile with a granite counter and tumbled marble floor in the shower. Hot water is from a Stiebel Eltron on-demand water heater. There is a comfort height Toto toilet and a wooden cathedral ceiling.

The master bedroom has a cathedral ceiling with exposed metal beams and a large bathroom with a walk in shower. It has Mexican tile, with scattered hand painted tiles in the shower area. Hot water is provided by a gas on-demand heater. The sink basin is also hand painted from Mexico. The counter is terracotta tile. It has a comfort height Toto toilet, glass block and built-in custom teak benches. There is private access to the pool area.

The pool is rectangular, 15×23 feet (5 feet deep) with a shallower 3.5 foot deep square area at one corner. There are built in benches in the shallow area. There are stairs into the pool instead of a ladder. The pool area is along one side of the house, surround by either walls or an custom iron fence. There is a built in grill area here too. It is accessed either through the house or through a gate from the yard.

The backyard is large and basically level —600 square meters with a variety of shade trees that are a haven for song birds. There is a secure concrete outbuilding for equipment. There is a level entrance with a wrought iron door to the basement below the balcony. The basement has three rooms and space for a third bathroom and laundry. We had planned the room with windows to the yard as maid’s quarters although it would need to be finished.
